I put together three gift baskets with different themes. One of the gift baskets is for a Nursing Home resident, one gift basket is for the creative crafter, and one gift basket is a treat for anyone who loves a Pedicure. After securing a royal marriage and an alliance with another nation or two set aside a diplomat to fabricate a claim on either Paderborn or Westfalen. Cologne tends to have no allies or very weak ones such as Aachen.
This one is perfect for a friend, teenager, etc. Showing mom your appreciation doesn't have to cost a fortune. In fact, you can put something really thoughtful together with items purchased from the dollar store.

Add smaller items in between until you are happy with the look. The photo above shows how the basket looked after I got it together. Very Uptown for less than $15 and such nice items, fun and useful. I put everything in the basket and arranged and rearranged.
Since the basket was deep everything set on the bottom of the basket. I found some packing paper in the shop and put it in the bottom of the basket. How to Make this DIY Mother’s Day Gift Basket

Also, there are a lot of ways you can customize this gift basket. You can add bows and ribbons, different florals (baby’s breath would also look really great), use a different color combo (purple, red, etc.), or choose a different theme. Starting from the back of the gift basket, add your tallest items first .
If you know someone who could use a little extra pampering, consider making them a self-care gift basket. Dollar Tree has a ton of great bath and body products that would work great for a self-care basket. You could also give this to someone who for a “spa getaway” or girl’s night basket as well. Not only do they have tons of products to piece together a customized gift basket, but they have different baskets, buckets, and materials to make it look even prettier.
I find fun things at thrift stores, junk shops, and flea markets and make them better. I can never think of these little things to make a gift basket or stockings at Christmas. I have a couple of funny stories about how many trips to the Dollar Tree it takes to find Llamas and how many pieces of candy are in the peanut butter cup bag. When it came time to put the candy filled dishes in the bag I ran into a small problem. When looking at the bags in the store I decided they would be big enough for the dishes. And they were……if I cut one of the seams half way down. I forgot about the skinny neck towards the top of the bag and the dishes wouldn’t fi past the neck.
